About The Transport Co., Ltd. (BKS)

The Transport Co., Ltd., known in Thai as บขส., is a state enterprise under the Ministry of Transport. It rebranded as BKS (Best · Kindness · Safety) on 9 April 2026. It plays two roles: running its own services, and overseeing licensed private operators — as well as managing several of the main bus terminals.

The network covers all four regions. The most searched routes are Bangkok – Chiang Mai, Bangkok – Ubon Ratchathani, Bangkok – Phuket and Bangkok – Hat Yai.

Main routes use 3 coach classes:

  1. Mor 1 Kor (VIP) – special first class air-con, 1+2 layout (3 seats per row), e.g. the Koh Samui line
  2. Mor 1 Khor (Por 1) – standard first class air-con, 2+2 layout (4 seats per row), e.g. Krabi and Trat
  3. Mor 4 Khor (Por 1 double-decker) – double-decker air-con, 2+2 layout (4 seats per row), e.g. Chiang Mai, Ubon Ratchathani, Phuket and Hat Yai

A single route may be worked by both BKS coaches and private partner operators — check the operator name on your ticket, collect it at that operator's counter, and wait at that operator's platform.
